Police say that on October 3, a woman was arrested in North Las Vegas on charges of attempted murder after they say she stabbed two other women.
A 38-year-old woman named Synetta Harper is being charged with the violent attack that happened near Decatur Boulevard and Ann Road, according to 8 News Now.
The two victims were walking along Decatur Boulevard when Harper is said to have stabbed both of them at least once.
From what the North Las Vegas Police Department knows, the suspect left the scene of the stabbings afterward.
The people were taken to the hospital and have since been released.
About three weeks after the crime, on Tuesday, the Criminal Apprehension Team found Harper in the 3300 block of North Decatur Boulevard. She refused to leave her apartment, so she locked herself inside, according to KTNV.
According to the KTNV story, this is what made the North Las Vegas Police Department send out their SWAT team, who were able to capture Harper after the standoff.
Harper was taken to the North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center on two counts of attempted murder after she was caught.
Authorities have asked any residents or witnesses who know anything about this case to come forward. According to 8 News Now, they want anyone who can help to call the North Las Vegas Police Department at 702-633-9111 or Crime Stoppers of Nevada at 702-385-5555 if they want to stay private. As of now, the investigation is still going on because police are still gathering information that could help them figure out what happened before the random attack and why it happened.
