Many places in the area had sunny skies and highs in the lower 70s on a beautiful fall day.
Overnight, clouds will move in from the south, and during the day, scattered showers will form mostly west of I-35.
The low 60s mark the beginning of the morning, and the high 70s mark the end.
Overnight Thursday into Friday, there is a better chance of rain, and another cold front will move across North Texas.
It will be rainy and stormy on Friday, so be aware that it could get in the way of your plans.
It will start to rain in our western counties early Friday morning and move east all day.
If it rains on Friday night, football games might not happen.
The front and rain will leave the area by Saturday morning, which is good news. The skies will then clear from west to east.
It’s not likely that there will be a major storm in the next two days, but one could happen. It could have small hail and strong winds.
In places west of I-35, there is a level 1 minimal risk.
It will stay cool through the weekend, but by Tuesday, it will be back to about 80 degrees, just in time for our next storm.
At the moment, Hurricane Rafael is moving across western Cuba. It is bringing dangerous storm surges, damaging winds, and flash floods.
It’s going to get stuck in the Gulf of Mexico for a few days.
