Free Hannah Montana Pop-Up Experience Brings Iconic Glam Closet to New York City for Limited-Time Event

New York City, New York — Fans of the beloved Disney Channel series Hannah Montana will soon have a chance to relive one of the show’s most memorable moments in real life. Later this month, a free two-day Hannah Montana pop-up experience will arrive in Greenwich Village, giving visitors the opportunity to step inside a recreation of the show’s famous glam closet.

The immersive event is being launched as part of the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the hit series, which first debuted in 2006. The pop-up will allow fans to experience a real-life version of the space where Miley Stewart famously transformed into her blonde-wigged pop star alter ego.

“The event recreates one of the most iconic spaces from the series — the glam closet where Miley Stewart transformed into Hannah Montana.”

The limited-time activation is expected to attract longtime fans who grew up watching the show as well as a new generation discovering it through streaming.

The glam closet experience brings the show to life

The pop-up was created through a collaboration between Maybelline New York and Disney, combining beauty experiences with nostalgic elements from the show.

Inside the activation, visitors will find interactive Maybelline beauty stations where guests can experiment with makeup looks inspired by Hannah Montana’s signature pop-star style. These stations are designed to replicate the glam transformation moment that became a defining part of the show.

Once visitors complete their makeover, they can capture the moment at a Polaroid-style photo station, allowing them to pose and channel their inner pop star.

The experience transforms the closet scene into a walk-through interactive environment, giving fans a chance to step into a piece of television history.

When and where the pop-up will take place

The New York City pop-up will take place for two days at a venue in Greenwich Village.

The show followed Miley Stewart, a regular teenager who secretly lived a double life as a global pop star named Hannah Montana. The series quickly became one of Disney Channel’s most successful programs, gaining a massive fan base and turning its star, Miley Cyrus, into an international celebrity.

Two decades later, the series continues to hold a special place in pop culture, with many fans remembering the music, characters, and iconic scenes from the show.

Anniversary special will feature Miley Cyrus

The upcoming anniversary celebration also includes a special program premiering on March 24 on Disney+ and Hulu.

The special will feature Miley Cyrus in conversation with podcast host Alex Cooper, filmed in front of a live studio audience. The event is expected to revisit memorable aspects of the series, including familiar set pieces such as the Stewart family living room and the famous glam closet.
