Five Found Dead in Minnesota in Apparent Murder-Suicide, Police Report

Five people were found dead in two homes in West Duluth on Thursday around 2:10 p.m., and police in Duluth, Minnesota, are still looking into what happened.

A press statement says that Duluth Police went to the 6000 block of Tacony Street to check on someone’s welfare and found a 47-year-old woman and a child dead inside.

They were able to find a suspect in a house in the 4400 block of West 6th Street after doing some research.

When police broke into the house, they found the suspect, a 46-year-old man, along with the bodies of a 45-year-old woman and a 12-year-old boy who seemed to have been shot. Police say the suspect also killed himself with a gun.

The victims are thought to know each other, but the police haven’t said their names yet because they want to let their families know.

“Our hearts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of the people who died in this terrible accident.” The investigation into this event is still open and ongoing, according to the release. “There will likely be a press meeting tomorrow. Later on, more information will be made public.
