by The Chris Howell Foundation returns its community fair to Dallas’ Highland Hills Library after serving hundreds at Wellspring on Main.
Texas, July 26, 2025, Arlington At its Summer Health & Wellness Fair today, the Chris Howell Foundation brought hundreds of families from Tarrant County to Wellspring on Main in Arlington, offering a much-needed break from the heat. While supplies lasted, community people waited in line to obtain free fresh produce and vegetables, with outdoor heat indices reaching over 100 degrees.
The Foundation also provided health tests, including blood pressure checks and glucose monitoring, in collaboration with United Way of Tarrant County, Chase Bank, United MegaCare, and numerous other neighborhood service providers. Nearly 100 pairs of Nike tennis shoes were raffled off by United MegaCare to local kids, enabling them to begin the school year in comfort and style.
Dominique Bryant-Howell, executive director, commended the attendance and the spirit of cooperation among all volunteers and partners. According to her, the fair today was about more than just getting away from the heat. It was intended to demonstrate what our community can accomplish when we band together to solve issues of financial empowerment, health care, and food security.
