DuPage County Fair: Drone Shows, Live Music, and Family Fun

The 71st annual DuPage County Fair is set to bring four days of excitement, entertainment, and community celebration to Wheaton from July 24 to 27. This year’s fair will be packed with activities for all ages, including carnival rides, 4-H exhibits, musical performances, and a dazzling series of drone light shows.

Drone Light Shows

One of the highlights of this year’s fair will be three nights of drone light shows, lighting up the skies above the DuPage County Event Center and Fairgrounds.

  • Thursday: 9:30 p.m.
  • Friday & Saturday: 10:15 p.m.

Dates, Times, and Location

The fair will take place at the DuPage County Event Center and Fairgrounds, located at 2015 Manchester Road in Wheaton. Daily hours are as follows:

  • Thursday, July 24: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Friday, July 25: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 26: Noon – 11 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 27: Noon – 8 p.m.

Attractions and Activities

Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of attractions throughout the fairgrounds, including:

  • Carnival rides and games
  • 4-H exhibits and animal showcases
  • Axe throwing demonstrations by the Axe Women Loggers of Maine
  • Educational exhibits including STEM-a-Palooza, woodcarving, bobbin lace, embryology, and more
  • “History of DuPage” exhibit in the Barn Biz
  • Demonstrations of knitting, embroidery, calligraphy, and other handiwork in Building 1

Watch world champion lumberjills in action with daily shows in the grandstand infield:

  • Thursday–Saturday: 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m.
  • Sunday: 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 4:30 p.m.

  • Thursday:
    • 4:30 p.m. – Solid Aire Band
    • 7 p.m. – Sammy and the Knights
  • Friday:
    • 5 p.m. – Vital Signs
    • 8 p.m. – Two Beer Tommy Band
  • Saturday:
    • 5 p.m. – Grupo Regresivo
    • 8 p.m. – Michael Lynch Music
  • Sunday:
    • Noon – Lake Effect
    • 2:30 p.m. – ERT From Earth
    • 5 p.m. – Thankful Dead (Grateful Dead tribute)

Dining Hall Performances:

  • Thursday & Friday at 5 p.m.: Dennis Martin Duo
  • Saturday at 1 p.m.: Mariachi Morelos
  • Saturday at 6 p.m.: Viento del Valle

Expo Stage:

  • Saturday at 1 p.m.: Ballet Folklorico from West Chicago Elementary District 33

Admission and Tickets

  • Adults (13+): $12
  • Children (6–12) & Seniors (62+): $8
  • Children (5 & under) & Active Military (with ID): Free
  • Mega Pass (includes admission and carnival rides for one day): $35
