Dog Stabbed, Burned and Abandoned in Colorado Park Saved by Foothills Animal Shelter. After a severe episode of mistreatment, a dog named Butterfly is still alive and well. According to Foothills Animal Shelter staff, the dog was discovered by itself in a park months ago with serious burns and what seemed to be stab wounds.

The dog received skin grafts, burn treatments, and surgery over the course of weeks, according to the shelter’s staff.
Butterfly is currently living in a happy household after a wonderful recovery.

Butterfly’s story is intended to inspire the community to donate to Foothills Animal Shelter. On December 10, Colorado Gives Day, MetLife Pet Insurance will match contributions up to $40,000 dollar for dollar.
