Church Brothers, LLC has voluntarily recalled 1,271 cases of green onions that were sent to several states because they might have Salmonella in them. The returned goods were sold in stores and restaurants in the US and Canada under different brand names. Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia are some of the states that will be affected.
Salmonella can make people very sick, especially babies, older people, and people whose immune systems aren’t working well. Fever, diarrhea, feeling sick, throwing up, and abdominal pain are all common signs. People haven’t been getting sick yet, and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency found the contamination during routine tests.
