At a High School Party in Indiana, One Person Was Killed and Ten Others Were Hurt in a Shooting

Police say at least one person was killed and 10 were hurt when a shooting broke out at a party for high school students in Indiana on Saturday night.

Around 10:30 p.m., people called 911 to report a shooting in a private area. This is when the Fort Wayne Police Department first heard about it. People who called said that people were “running in all directions,” and when police came, they found a “chaotic” scene.

People who were there said there was a “high school-age party” going on when the shots were fired. The 10 people who were hurt are not in danger of dying, according to the cops.

Police said, “The number of suspects in the shooting is unknown at this time.”

Sharon Tucker, the mayor of Fort Wayne, said that her “heart is heavy” as she tries to figure out what happened. She also told the people that police were working “tirelessly” to find answers.

Tucker said, “The safety and security of our community are very important for making sure Fort Wayne has a better future.” “My prayer is that we will all stand together as neighbors and residents and not put up with this kind of behavior.”

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, teen deaths between the ages of 15 and 19 are mostly caused by murder, suicide, and accidents.
