When the beach is just a short drive away, all you need is a quaint cottage.
358 Route 6A #6 is a freestanding cottage in East Sandwich with one bedroom and one bathroom that was constructed in 1936. The small retreat, which is 216 square feet in size, is located in the Pine Grove Cottage neighborhood. Two hundred thousand dollars is the asking price.
The listing’s owner, Beverly Comeau of Compass, described the charming Cape Cod house as a place to retreat to whenever you want.
Enter the main living area through the front door, which has a vaulted ceiling and bleached pine walls. The hue of the laminate floors is driftwood. The living room can accommodate a small sofa, or it can be used as a second bedroom area by setting up a futon. A sink and a small refrigerator with upper and below storage are characteristics of the kitchenette. The bathroom, which has a toilet, sink, and shower, is accessible through a door.
The bedroom, which has the same whitewashed theme, is accessible through a door next to the kitchen. The bedroom features a closet and two windows.
There is a grassy area to the side of the house that is large enough for an outside patio table, making it ideal for peaceful dinners and taking in the scenery of the 12-cotton neighborhood surrounded by trees.
There is a single parking spot assigned to the house. All residents have access to the designated visitor parking area by the pool.
The outdoor pool, common area fire pit, garbage collection, municipal water, off-season snow removal, and several other maintenance duties are all covered by the $2,647 annual HOA fee.
East Sandwich Beach and Town Neck Beach are both equally distance from the property, which is in a prime location just over the Sagamore Bridge. You never really need to cook at home because there are restaurants, coffee shops, and the Sandwich Boardwalk close by.
The seasonal property is available for rent from April 1 to October 31 and small dogs are welcome.
It’s a fantastic substitute for a small hotel. It’s a terrific location for day trips to Providence, Boston, and Provincetown. According to Comeau, all you need to pack is your toothbrush.
