by Scottsdale, AZ — Families preparing for Halloween in Scottsdale are looking ahead to trick-or-treating, costume celebrations and seasonal events throughout October. Halloween falls on Saturday, October 31, 2026, giving children and parents a weekend opportunity to enjoy the holiday.
However, families searching for Scottsdale trick-or-treat times should know that a single official citywide schedule has not been verified. Traditional neighborhood trick-or-treating hours may vary, while organized Halloween events have their own confirmed dates and times.
When Is Trick-or-Treating in Scottsdale in 2026?
Halloween takes place on Saturday, October 31, 2026. Families planning to go door to door should check with their homeowners association, neighborhood organizers or local community groups for any specific trick-or-treating hours.
Parents should avoid assuming that every Scottsdale neighborhood follows the same schedule. Organized events may also take place during daytime hours, allowing younger children to enjoy Halloween activities before evening celebrations begin.
Scottsdale Trick-or-Treat Times and Local Schedule
There is no verified single citywide trick-or-treating time to report for Scottsdale at this stage. Instead, families can plan around confirmed Halloween activities and check for additional neighborhood announcements as October 31 approaches.
One major upcoming event is the Scottsdale Fall Festival, scheduled for Saturday, October 17, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Scottsdale Civic Center. The free community celebration includes trick-or-treating, carnival games, live music, food trucks, arts and crafts, and family activities.
Although the festival takes place two weeks before Halloween, it offers families an opportunity to enjoy costumes and seasonal fun before October 31.

Event details and schedules should be checked before leaving home, as organizers may update their plans.
What Families Should Know Before Halloween Night
Parents planning to take children trick-or-treating in Scottsdale should confirm the hours for their specific neighborhood rather than relying on a general time published for another Arizona city.
A few practical steps can make Halloween easier to plan:
- Check local announcements: Look for updates from neighborhood associations and community organizers.
- Plan around children’s ages: Daytime events may be more suitable for younger children, while older children may prefer evening activities.
- Check event admission details: Free community events may have different entry arrangements from ticketed Halloween attractions.
- Prepare for Arizona weather: Carry water and choose comfortable costumes, particularly if activities begin before sunset.
- Prioritize visibility: Use reflective accessories or flashlights when walking after dark, and accompany younger children.
