Wichita, Kansas — Wichita is preparing for one of the state’s biggest Independence Day celebrations as Red, White & BOOM! presented by Evergy returns to downtown for America’s 250th Anniversary. Hosted by Wichita Park & Recreation in partnership with the Wichita Wind Surge, the celebration combines baseball, live entertainment, food vendors, and a choreographed fireworks spectacular that lights up the downtown skyline.

The official celebration begins at 6:00 p.m. around Kennedy Plaza at Century II and continues throughout the evening.
