YouTuber Who Released ‘Addicted to Killing’ Video Paralyzed Innocent Woman in Shooting, Authorities Say

Boston, MA — A 24-year-old YouTuber who bragged about being “addicted to killing” in a rap video is accused of paralyzing an innocent woman in a shooting intended for someone else, according to authorities.

Shawn Walker, 24, faces multiple charges, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, the Boston Police Department said.

The shooting occurred around 4 p.m. on Oct. 8 near 258 Dudley Street in Roxbury, as a 25-year-old woman was walking from a doctor’s appointment with her boyfriend.

According to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, the couple heard several gunshots, ducked for cover, and when the woman tried to stand up, she collapsed — paralyzed by a bullet to the back.

Responding officers found her lying on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound near her spinal cord, resulting in immediate loss of movement from the waist down, officials said.

Nearby businesses and vehicles were also hit by bullets, and more than 20 discharged 9mm shell casings were recovered from the scene.

Authorities say surveillance footage showed a gray Hyundai sedan parking near the scene before a man exited the rear passenger door, took a shooting stance, and opened fire toward a restaurant where the intended target stood.

The target managed to escape into the restaurant as bullets shattered the front windows, narrowly missing patrons and employees.

After the shooting, the gunman jumped back into the Hyundai, which sped away.

Police later identified Walker as the suspected shooter and Devante Stinson, 23, as the alleged driver. Stinson was arrested on Oct. 23, and Walker was taken into custody on Wednesday, authorities said.

Investigators say Walker’s social media activity helped connect him to the case. Court records show he released a YouTube music video titled “Addicted To Killing” just days after the shooting under his rap name “Th$ Lowskii.”

Prosecutors said Walker already had three prior violent and drug-related offenses on his record.
