Woman suing Seaport bar says she was hurt by falling deer taxidermy

A lawsuit has been filed in Suffolk County Superior Court by a South Boston woman who claims she had a brain bleed after being struck in the head by a taxidermy deer decor in a pub.

According to the complaint, which was filed on August 11, Kathryn Hally was in Lucky’s Lounge on October 22, 2022, when she was allegedly struck in the head by a taxidermized deer head that had come loose from the wall.

According to the complaint, the deer head was placed and/or maintained carelessly.

According to a cover sheet, Hally claimed that she experienced a concussion, a brain hemorrhage, and post-concussive symptoms for months following the event.

According to the cover sheet, she is requesting $171,159.23 from the bar to pay pain and suffering, missed wages, and hospital costs.

A request for comment was not immediately answered by Hally’s lawyer.

According to court documents, Lyons Group, the parent company of Lucky’s Lounge, has until November 13 to reply to the claim.

A request for comment on Sunday night was not immediately answered by Lyons Group, and the group’s attorney information was unavailable.

According to its website, Lucky’s Lounge, which opened in 2001 and is situated at 355 Congress St., boasts a speakeasy style reminiscent of Sinatra.

According to its website, Lyon’s Group is the parent business of 22 well-known Boston locations, such as Bleacher Bar in Fenway Park and Sonsie on Newbury Street.
