OBIT: LESLIE EARL KNIGHT

Born in Dallas, Texas, on September 24, 1962, Leslie Earl Knight passed away on August 5, 2025, in the city that helped to mold his lively soul. Leslie brought with him a loud laugh and an infectious excitement that persisted long after he departed. He was warm and charming from the moment he entered our lives, and he had the ability to light up a room.

Leslie, a native of Dallas, was more than simply a man; he was a patchwork of qualities, a combination of athleticism, comedy, and a constant sense of empathy. His natural ability to connect with others made every interaction with him enjoyable. Because of his deep affection for his nieces and nephews, he made sure his legacy would live on in their hearts by frequently telling them stories that were full of love and laughter. His generosity and compassion had no limits, as he frequently took pleasure in helping people. Leslie was the epitome of a wonderful handyman, always willing to get his hands dirty and get started on a project, whether it was through his notorious grilling or helping out around the neighborhood.

Leslie was a loving and devoted father, and his son, Leslie Demond Nash, was his greatest pride. This connection, which was created out of love and common experiences, honors his life and leaves a legacy that will live on in the hearts of everyone who loved him.

His siblings, Jannie Jones, Larry Knight, Lawrence Knight, Jr., Mattie Branch, Kathy Knight, and Perry Knight, all feel the incalculable vacuum left by his loss. Together, they continue to shine the light of his memory, a guiding light of love and laughter for the days ahead.

We would like to welcome you to a viewing at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas on August 13, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, as we come together to commemorate and honor Leslie’s life. The funeral service will take place at the same venue on August 14, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM.

Leslie Earl Knight’s presence will always reverberate in our hearts and stories, serving as a reminder of the love and joy we still share, even though the world seems a little lighter without him.
