Made in Tarrant: Realtor-turned-entrepreneur launches Real Time App tool 

Reannah Glover closed more than $140 million worth of residential real estate transactions during her more than 12 years as a successful realtor. However, she became irritated with cumbersome and ineffective transaction instruments.

“A lot of the tools that are given to agents have a lot of functionality and a nice appearance, but they are hard to use, and agents become frustrated and return to what they know best, which is paper,” she added.

Glover chose to create her own platform while residing in Midland at the time. After a few years and a transfer to Fort Worth, she has now started a platform called Real Time App that keeps Realtors and their clients informed at every stage of the sales process.

For both the buyer and the seller, the app provides a timeline and deadlines. Through their Realtor’s subscription, clients may view every detail of their experience for free.

As a Realtor, she said, she had a strong desire to help clients, other agents, and herself communicate more effectively, maintain organization, and undoubtedly lessen stress during the buying and selling process.

Agent replies show that the Real Time App enhances the client experience, boosts efficiency, and gives a competitive edge in terms of client happiness. The app has been screened and tested with early adopters. There will be chances to improve a white-label version that their agents can provide to customers in order to help big brokerages.

The monthly subscription fee is $39, and teams and brokerages can receive volume and annual discounts. There is a free trial on the website.

Bob Francis, a business journalist, interviewed Reannah Glover on her transition from real estate agent to business owner. The length and clarity of this interview have been adjusted.

Bob Francis:Why did you choose to start your own business?

Reannah Glover: I felt like there was a huge gap between the IT businesses creating the tools they believed we needed and the Realtors who were actually working on the ground. Considering everything, I thought, “You know what I want to do?” I want to create software from the ground up that looks like it was created by a realtor, is useful, effective, and succinct, and has a low learning curve once you log in.

On the other hand, I wanted to create a straightforward, user-friendly software that had all the features that the buyer and seller need. It would then say, “Okay, here’s where you are,” when they opened it during their transaction. It reminds users of chores that have a deadline. It will notify you that it’s time to schedule utilities if you’re five days out. Preferred vendors might be shared by the realtor.

Thus, the client has a single location, and the realtor has a single location to handle all of their tasks. They converse with one another at the same time, which strengthens the bond between the client and the realtor. It only makes it better. I kind of did it for that reason.

FrancisWith whom did you collaborate on the app’s development?

GloverWell, I had no IT knowledge. While I was in Midland, I conducted interviews with a number of businesses, including Agency Habitat, a Fort Worth-based organization.I wanted to create something of the highest caliber. Similar to your phone, there are certain apps that are excellent and those that are just bad. I was going to do this correctly.

In the end, the Agency Habitat designers completely amazed me. I was praying a great deal. I had a gut feeling that this was the correct place. It was, too. It was the ideal location. They performed a fantastic job.

After two years of commuting, I finally made the move to Fort Worth. We’re made in Texas, which I adore. Our software is all developed internally; it is not produced abroad.

I’ve always loved Fort Worth, so if someone wants to use me as their spokesperson or in a commercial, they may do that. Its numerous features simply amaze me. It’s such a vibrant, wonderful community. I simply adore taking part in it.

FrancisI am aware that you were also employed at TechFW (Fort Worth). How was your collaboration with them?

Glover: Having TechFW in a city like ours is really awesome. I adore this place. The fact that we are now based here excites me greatly. I’m quite pleased with it. I enjoy that we are a really unconventional software company, and I believe that’s what sets us apart. During this experience, I truly learnt to lean into that.

Francis: Tell me how you got in touch with TechFW.

Glover: Asking for and finding guidance from others is something I’m quite excellent at. After taking Agency Habitat CEO Neil Foster to lunch, I asked him what I should do next. because I had presented the software at a National Association of Realtors expo, and we developed it. I knew we were on to something great. So I wanted to kind of take the next steps of raising a little bit of money and really growing it. Neil introduced me to someone who was on the board of TechFW. I then applied and ended up getting in.

I m just blown away by how amazing that is. The journey of being a founder can be so lonely. You re just by yourself learning and growing and trying to figure it out. TechFW just really feels like you re under a warm light and you re just being allowed to incubate, to grow. Everyone s so helpful.

Francis:What differentiates your product from others out there?

Glover:We stay true to our core value of trying to keep it very simple and efficient. A lot of tools that are given to Realtors we have thousands of tools no one uses because it takes forever to set them up.

Also, our client interface allows the client to download an app and track their whole transaction and then store all their documents for years down the road.

FrancisThe Real Time App can also help Realtors with marketing too, right?

Glover:As a Realtor, I loved to share my preferred vendor list with clients, and it was a valuable thing to keep in touch with them. I would send them a letter, saying, Here s my updated preferred vendor list. But it was on paper and people lost it. Now, it s updated in Real Time. It s always active, and every time the client opens up the app, they think of the Realtor.

Along with that, we also have an anniversary tracker, so it reminds the Realtor how long since someone bought a house, in case you want to reach out or send a gift. I think it s very valuable. It s kind of wild, but when you look at the stats, it s like 87% of Realtors don t contact their clients after closing. On the opposite side, that number is the same for people who would refer their Realtor again. The way you build a good referral business is by keeping in touch and then bringing value to the client s life.
