Prior to two sold-out performances at TD Garden on Wednesday, Gracie Abrams gave a surprise concert for Boston Children’s Hospital patients.

  • Review & setlist: Gracie Abrams charms sold-out Garden with catchy, if not especially exciting, pop ballads

Gracie offered the warmest hugs and excitement to patients, siblings, parents, and staff by visiting patients throughout the hospital and singing in our Seacrest Studio, Boston Children’s Hospital wrote on Tik Tok.

As shown in the Tik Tok, the Grammy-nominated musician, a human sunlight, played an acoustic guitar and sang her 2024 song, I Love You, I’m Sorry, while sporting a RedSox cap.

The hospital posted on Tik Tok, “We will always remember this day.”

The daughter of filmmaker J.J. Abrams and former political assistant Katie McGrath, she was born and reared in Los Angeles, but Abrams has stated that she has always felt a connection to New England. According to her, her family would frequently drive up to Maine, where her mother’s side of the family resides, after visiting Boston.

As I told the audience at MGM Music Hall last fall, Boston has not only played a significant role in my life—from growing up to family and everything else—but it has also hosted some of my favorite performances that we have ever performed.

At one of his sold-out performances at Fenway Park last July, the singer-songwriter played Everywhere, Everything alongside Noah Kahana as a special guest. His Live at Fenway Park record included their performance as well.

This story also included contributions from Heather Alterisio.
