Doña Ana County Fair Returns with Expanded Schedule, Competitions, and Family Festivities

The Doña Ana County Fair is back with a full slate of events running from Friday, July 25 through Sunday, August 3, 2025. This year’s fair will take place across three locations in Las Cruces: the Doña Ana County Fairgrounds, the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, and the Butterfield Shooting Range. Featuring archery, livestock shows, craft displays, family entertainment, and the much-anticipated Parade of Champions, the fair offers a vibrant mix of agriculture, heritage, and fun for all ages.

Event Locations

  • Doña Ana County Fairgrounds: 12125 Robert Larson Blvd., Las Cruces
  • Butterfield Shooting Range: 13500 Frontage Road, Las Cruces
  • Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum: 4100 Dripping Springs Road, Las Cruces

Highlighted Events

  • Archery, light rifle, muzzleloader, shotgun, and 3D archery competitions
  • Horse shows and livestock events including swine, lamb, dairy, poultry, beef, goat, and rabbit
  • Ag mechanics showcase and food truck offerings
  • Family fun nights with games and entertainment
  • Achievement Day with youth exhibits on display at the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum
  • Parade of Champions followed by a free public dance on Saturday, August 2

  • 8:00 a.m.: Shotgun Challenge

Sunday, July 27

  • 9:00 a.m.: Horse Events at the Fairgrounds Outdoor Arena

Monday, July 28

  • 2:00–7:00 p.m.: Achievement Day Entries Accepted at the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum

Tuesday, July 29

  • 9:00 a.m.: Achievement Day Entries Judged
  • July 30 – August 2: Entries on Display at the Museum

Thursday, July 31 (Fairgrounds)

  • 8:00 a.m.: Food Trucks Open for All Meals
  • 3:00–6:00 p.m.: Check-in for Ag Mechanics, Swine, Lamb, Dairy, and Poultry
  • 6:00 p.m.: Ag Mechanics Challenge Judging
  • 6:30 p.m.: Family Fun Activities

Friday, August 1

  • 7:00 a.m.: Food Trucks Open
  • 7:00 a.m.: Junior Market Swine Show
  • 7:30 a.m.: Junior Market Lamb Show
  • 8:00 a.m.: Junior Poultry Show
  • 1:00 p.m.: Project Chowcase
  • 3:00 p.m.: Junior Replacement Dairy Heifer Show
  • 5:00 p.m.: Check-in for Beef, Goat, and Rabbit

Saturday, August 2

  • 8:00 a.m.: Junior Breeding Beef Heifer Show

  • 5:30 p.m.: Parade of Champions Practice

  • Following Dinner: Parade of Champions and Free Public Dance at the Show Barn

The fair closes out on Sunday, August 3, offering a final day for visitors to enjoy exhibits, vendors, and the fairgrounds before wrapping up another year of celebrating community, agriculture, and youth achievement.
