The 2025 Chase County Fair is officially underway, beginning Thursday with a 4-H Clothing and Fashion Revue and continuing through July 24. The fair features a packed schedule of 4-H presentations, animal shows, community events, and family-friendly activities.
Events will primarily take place at the Fairgrounds in Cottonwood Falls, with a few exceptions noted. Residents and visitors are encouraged to attend and support the hard work of local 4-H youth, who have dedicated months to preparing their projects and exhibits.
Highlights of the Fair Schedule:
- Thursday (Opening Day): 4-H Clothing and Fashion Revue
- Friday: 4-H Dog Show at 6 p.m. in the Show Barn
- Sunday: 4-H and Open Horse Show at 4 p.m. at Flint Hills Rodeo Grounds, Strong City
- Monday: Flint Hills R.E.C.A. Electricity Demonstration and Hot Dog Feed at 6 p.m.
- Tuesday:
- Food Trucks, 4-H and Youth Carnival, Farmers Market at Swope Park (6 p.m.)
- Wednesday:
- Community Bingo at Community Building
- Fun night for kids 15 and under: races, pet parade, and free watermelon at 5:30 p.m.
- 4-H Olympics to follow
- Thursday (Closing Day):
- Stanley Stout Memorial 4-H Livestock Auction at 4:30 p.m.
- Ice Cream Social and BBQ at 5:30 p.m.
- Awards Presentation and Public 4-H Fashion Revue at 6:30 p.m.
This annual event celebrates local agriculture, youth achievement, and community spirit in Chase County.
