Adorable 7lb Pup with a Heart Full of Love Is Searching for a Forever Home — Could You Be the One? A tiny, adorable dog named Chestnut has recently been introduced by Sandy Paws Rescue Inc., a committed foster-based rescue group in Massachusetts, and is looking for her forever home. Chestnut’s foster family says she is sweet, cuddly, adorable, and friendly—the nicest compliment a dog could receive from his foster family, according to the nonprofit animal rescue! Chestnut’s health is good. She enjoys cuddling and is really kind. They say, “We’re very glad she’s here to stay with us.”
Chestnut hopes her family finds her in time for the Christmas, as she weighs barely 7 pounds and is thought to be around nine years old. “Chestnut is excited to live in New England during her golden years. According to Sandy Paws Rescue, she will be prepared to return home around the middle of December.
The fact that Chestnut is spayed and has received all of her recommended vaccinations will please prospective adopters. She now only needs a caring family or someone to take a risk on her and provide her with the home she is entitled to.
In Massachusetts, Sandy Paws Rescue is a charity organization dedicated to saving dogs like Chestnut and giving them a second chance at life by finding them a forever home. Sandy Paws Rescue states that they “rescue dogs from various shelters, cruelty situations, owner surrenders in Massachusetts, and strays from Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.”
Since they lack a shelter, all of their dogs are placed in kennels or private foster homes while they search for their permanent homes.
Being a “100% volunteer-only operation,” the majority of Sandy Paws Rescue’s volunteers work full-time day jobs in addition to their rescue efforts. They clarify that “our only personal gain, is from seeing our dogs placed in wonderful homes.”
Donations to the nonprofit organization Sandy Paws Rescue are the only reason it can continue to function. It costs a lot to manage a dog rescue, from moving them from one state to another to covering all medical expenses, feeding, and other expenses.
“The cost of veterinary care and transportation for our puppies and dogs is not covered by our adoption fees,” Sandy Paws Rescue states.
Anyone who is interested in adopting must apply to Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. Since they are a foster-based rescue organization with headquarters in Massachusetts, they do not have a shelter and can only meet pets by appointment. Until they are adopted, their dogs live in kennels or private homes. Please be aware that Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. is currently only accepting adoptions from residents of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and a few Connecticut counties. On a case-by-case basis, Sandy Paws Rescue adopts to other New England states. Go to Sandy Paws Inc.’s website at https://www.sandypawsmv.com to learn more about adopting from them.
