Ex-School Employee Admits Guilt in Child-Related Crimes. We now know that the Schenectady man who entered a guilty plea to serious charges involving a child was formerly employed by the Niskayuna Central School District.
Tyreik Blackmon, popularly known as “Elise,” pled guilty to two charges of sexually motivated felony promotion of a child’s sexual performance.
According to the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office, in early November of last year, Blackmon used an online dating app to send a sexually explicit video and picture of a minor to a third party.
The superintendent of the school system attested that none of the instances included district children and did not take place on a Niskayuna campus. In late May, Blackmon, who was employed in the district’s operations and maintenance division, was let go.
Blackmon faces the maximum penalty of seven years in jail for each offense, and his sentencing is set for January 28. Blackmon will also have to register as a sexual offender.
