Jay-Z, Sean “Diddy” Combs accused of raping 13-year-old in civil suit

Jay-Z, Sean “Diddy” Combs accused of raping 13-year-old in civil suit. In a civil case, rappers Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs are charged with raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000.

Originally filed in October and re-filed in New York on Sunday to include Jay-Z as a defendant, the lawsuit claims that the victim—who is now a woman residing in Alabama—was raped by both men at a Video Music Awards afterparty.

In a statement, Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, called the accusations a “blackmail attempt.” The accusations were refuted by Combs’ lawyer.

According to the lawsuit, the girl traveled to the VMAs in New York City without a ticket in the hopes of getting inside, but a limo driver claiming to be Combs’s employee instead invited her to an afterparty. According to the lawsuit, the limo driver allegedly took her to the party and asked her to sign what she thinks is a non-disclosure agreement.

In the case, it is claimed that “after attempting to talk to numerous celebrities, Plaintiff accepted a drink from one of the waitresses circulating the crowd.” She had “a portion of the drink” and, according to the lawsuit, started feeling “woozy and lightheaded” so she looked for a place to lie down. According to the lawsuit, she entered a room with a bed in it, and shortly after she lay down, Combs, Carter, and an unidentified celebrity woman that the alleged victim recognized entered the room.

The lawsuit then claims that while Combs and the female celebrity looked on, Carter raped her while holding her down. According to the lawsuit, Combs then sexually assaulted her while Carter and the woman were looking on. The lawsuit claims that after Combs tried to make the girl have oral sex with him, she was able to hit him, take her clothing, wrap them around herself, and flee.

“Although there were other guests still at the party, no one appeared to take notice of Plaintiff’s distress or attempted to help her,” according to the complaint.

The lawsuit claims that the girl ran back to a gas station she had seen on the way to the party after leaving the house and putting her clothing back on. There, a clerk “noticed her distress and allowed her to use the phone.” After that, she allegedly called her father on the phone to arrange for him to come get her.

The woman is requesting damages that are not defined.

Carter released a statement in reaction to the filing, saying, “A ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee sent a demand letter, which is a form of blackmail, to my lawyer. He had anticipated that I would want to settle because of the gravity of these accusations and the public scrutiny. It did the exact reverse, sir! I felt compelled to publicly reveal you as the phony that you are. Therefore, no, I won’t give you a single red penny.

“Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable,” said the statement.

“The recent extortion lawsuit against Mr. Buzbee and this amended complaint expose his flurry of lawsuits against Mr. Combs for what they are: shameless publicity stunts, designed to extract payments from celebrities who fear having lies spread about them, just as lies have been spread about Mr. Combs,” said Teny Geragos, Combs’ lawyer, in a statement. Mr. Combs has complete faith in the facts and the fairness of the court system, as his attorneys have stated previously. The truth will win out in court: Mr. Combs never sexually abused or trafficked any anybody, adult or child, male or female.

An unnamed male celebrity sued Buzbee last month, claiming the attorney attempted to extract money by threatening to make claims of sexual assault, which the star disputes. In response, Buzbee refutes the claims of extortion.

A request for comment from CBS News was not immediately answered by Buzbee. Buzbee claimed that Carter was responsible for the anonymous lawsuit against him in a statement that was published on X on Sunday night.

In his most recent statement, he omits to mention that my business issued his lawyer a demand letter on behalf of a purported victim, who never made any demands of him. Rather, she merely requested a private mediation,” Buzbee stated. In addition to suing me, Mr. Carter has attempted to intimidate and harass both this plaintiff and me since I wrote the letter on her behalf. His actions have caused the opposite effect. She feels more confident. I’m rather pleased with her determination.

The “coordinated and aggressive effort” against him, according to Buzbee’s Instagram post, has involved “filing frivolous cases against me and my law firm, defaming me with outrageous assertions to anyone who will listen, and having mysterious people follow me and my family.”

“The truth will come to light when people see through this attempt to discredit myself and my clients. Additionally, I refuse to let anyone intimidate my clients into remaining silent,” Buzbee stated.

Currently awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking allegations, Combs is being held in New York. His multiple bail requests have been turned down.

Prosecutors accused Combs of abusing his economic empire over the years, leading to his arrest in September and subsequent charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He entered a not guilty plea to the accusations.
