Colorado Deputies Hunt for Suspect in Toy Story SUV After Attempted Child Kidnapping. Arapahoe County police and deputies are searching for a man who they believe attempted to abduct a child from an apartment complex close to southeast Denver.
The attempted kidnapping occurred near 8400 E. Yale Ave. on Saturday at approximately 9:45 p.m., according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect in the case is a male who is approximately 5’10” or 5’11” tall, heavy-set, and has curly hair. At the moment, his hair was sticking out of the eye holes of a black ski mask, and he was dressed in black jeans, orange sneakers, and a hoodie featuring Mickey Mouse.
Investigators are hoping that the man’s fairly unusual automobile could help identify him. He was observed driving a black SUV with a black Colorado license plate, Woody and Slinky Dog from Toy Story beneath the right taillight, and the phrase “watermelon” written in pink on the back.
It is requested that anyone with information about this case contact the sheriff’s office at 303-795-4711.
