A Woman Who Planned to Kill Her Two Children Can Be Charged With the Murder of Her Ex-husband. Phoenix— On Thursday, it was determined that a mother who was convicted of plotting the murders of her two youngest children and another woman may manage further accusations.
Lori Vallow Daybell was found to be in good enough condition by Arizona courts to be charged with plotting the murders of her ex-husband Charles Vallow and her niece’s ex-spouse. For her role in the deaths of Tammy Daybell, 16, Tylee Ryan, and 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow, she has already been sentenced to life in prison in Idaho.
In 2019, Vallow Daybell’s brother shot and killed her fourth husband, Charles Vallow. Her sibling was never charged because he claimed police he was defending himself.
Chad Daybell, who self-published novels on the end of the world that were partially based on Mormon doctrine, was already seeing Vallow Daybell. To be closer to him, she relocated from Phoenix to Idaho.
Prosecutors in the Idaho case summoned scores of witnesses to support their allegations that Chad and Vallow Daybell intended to murder Tammy Daybell and the two children in order to reconcile and receive widow benefits and life insurance.
According to the police, the pair killed because they adhered to an end-of-the-world belief system that held that humans might become “zombies” after being possessed by evil spirits and that the only way to preserve a possessed person’s soul was for their body to perish. A judge in Maricopa County Superior Court has tentatively scheduled Vallow Daybell’s hearing for February 24.
