Wisp Ski Resort in Maryland to Open This Week Amid Heavy Snow Forecast. With significant snowfall predicted in the region, Wisp Ski Resort in Western Maryland will open its slopes to skiers and snowboarders on Friday, December 6.
Garrett County’s hills will see a significant increase in snow cover due to near-blizzard conditions on Thursday and Friday. In some places, wind chills may fall to almost or even below zero.
Nearer Baltimore, rain showers will soon turn into all-snow or rain-and-snow conditions. For a brief time, there may be heavy snowfall, which might cause minor accumulations on grassy areas, especially north and west of Baltimore.
Every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., skiers and snowboarders can visit Wisp Resort, which is situated in Garrett County in McHenry, Maryland.
