Fremont Couple’s Car Stolen with Newborn Essentials and Gifts Inside

Fremont Couple’s Car Stolen with Newborn Essentials and Gifts Inside. California’s Fremont A family in the East Bay who recently had their first child is upset after their car, which contained all of their newborn’s belongings and presents, was stolen during Thanksgiving.

The young couple is currently attempting to reconcile their feelings of loss and immense joy.

Days before the birth of his newborn girl, 22-year-old Benjamin Willis learned on Thanksgiving morning that his 2014 Chrysler 300 had been stolen.

The night before Thanksgiving, it took place. It occurred one or two hours after he parked his car on Viento Drive off Mission Boulevard in Fremont after 7:30 p.m., according to a neighbor’s surveillance camera. Sadly, the footage is too grainy to identify any of the offenders, Willis added.

“Inside the car, I had brand new baby stroller, car seat, diaper bag ready to go, for the hospital,” Willis recalled. “That’s because she could have come out at any time. In fact, she was due a week ago.

According to Willis, he also had unwrapped Christmas gifts for the family and cash gifts from relatives from recent baby showers in the van.

“I was really heartbroken because a lot of hard work, and my family, friends, all the stuff I received, I wish I had it in the room, but it was just too small,” he stated.

According to Willis, he and his fiancé, Arcelia Villa, 21, are living at her parents’ apartment close by.

His car served as his only mode of transportation, which was necessary for him to commute to work and take his fiancé to doctor’s visits. Despite sporadic opportunities, he accepts contract building or landscaping work whenever they come up.

It’s a significant loss. “My family and I were supposed to take care of each other in that car,” he claimed. “I really didn’t have much before, and that was one of the items that I did have and work’s been slow for me.”

Willis thinks there aren’t many auto burglaries in the neighborhood.

According to Fremont Police, 40 such thefts have occurred in the city this month, he continued.

To help them replace the stolen goods and get back on their feet, Willis’ mother Evelyn set up a GoFundMe page.

The family is grateful that Ariella is a healthy baby despite the loss.

“Mixed emotions – sad, exhausted, overwhelmed, happy… for the baby,” Willis stated.

Benjamin said his fiancé is expected to be discharged from the hospital Monday evening.
