COWETA COUNTY, Ga. – A couple from South Carolina was caught after a high-speed chase in Coweta County. Police say they had eight pounds of drugs in their SUV.
Coweta County officers say they pulled over a driver on I-85 for having too much window tint. After the fact, they found out that the SUV had four pounds of meth and four pounds of cocaine.
Kinya Mishoe, 48, looked like she was having a good time at first.
He laughed and said, “I know I wasn’t speeding.”
The deputy said, “No, you weren’t speeding.”
“I know I wasn’t going too fast. I saw you. I saw you. Mishoe said, “I saw you,” and she laughed again.
One officer checked his license while another talked to the driver through the window, and things got serious. On video of the accident, Mishoe was seen rushing away from the traffic stop.
“During the chase, the suspect began driving recklessly, almost hitting several cars, weaving in and out of traffic,” Cpl. Ricketson said.
The deputy’s window was broken when something hit it from the road. Still, the deputy was able to keep chasing after a few tries of the PIT move.
When the chase left the interstate, the officer crashed into the SUV to try to pin the driver, who had already opened his door to run.
Deputies said Mishoe could still get out of the car with a backpack on. They caught him after a short foot chase.
Police say they found four pounds of meth and four pounds of cocaine in the backpack.
There are many types of traffic charges against Mishoe, as well as charges of selling cocaine and meth. They said that his hitchhiker, Laura Bell, 40, was charged with having drugs. The two of them are from SC.
