Rainy Week Ahead for Bay Area and Northern California Expect Cooler Temperatures and Higher Humidity

As of early next week, the National Weather Service (NWS) says the weather in the Bay Area will change, with cooler temperatures and a higher chance of rain. Recent weather has been mostly dry air and light winds from the ocean, which has caused dew points to drop to unusually low levels—even in the teens in some places of Monterey. But by tonight, a weak weather trough will bring a wave of high clouds, a possible colorful sunset, and light rain to the coastal hills of North Bay.

As the humidity level rises, the trough will cause a change toward stronger coastal flow, which means the weather will be busier. Next week, it’s likely to rain early, and more rain is expected later in the week. This will mark the start of wetter, cooler days across the region.
