Death Investigation Launched After Man Found Stabbed, Attacked by Dogs in San Bernardino

A person died over the weekend in San Bernardino and was found stabbed and bitten by several dogs. Detectives from the San Bernardino Police Department are looking into the death.

According to a statement from police, they were called to the 900 block of E. Highland Avenue around 5:20 p.m. on Sunday after the San Bernardino County Fire Department asked for help.

When police arrived at Perris Hill Park, they found a homeless man living in an encampment nearby. The man had what they think are stab wounds and dog bite injuries.

As soon as paramedics arrived, they took the man to a nearby hospital, but it was already too late. The exact reason he died has not been made public yet.

Ten dogs were caught at the spot, according to police. It is not clear how many people were part of the mauling.
