CHICAGO — Chicago police say a 32-year-old woman died overnight when the car she was in hit a light pole on North DuSable Lake Shore Drive.
Police say they were called to a crash in the 4400 block of N. DuSable Lake Shore Dr. around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday and found a gray sedan going north had hit a light pole. The car had four people inside.
Police say a 32-year-old woman who was riding in the front seat got hit in the head. The fire department in Chicago helped her and took her to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead.
Police say the male driver got hurt and was taken to a nearby hospital in fair condition. Two female passengers in the back also got hurt but were taken to nearby hospitals in good condition after being helped by CFD.
Police say that driving tickets will be issued soon and that Major Accidents detectives are looking into what happened.
