AVONDALE, Arizona — The Avondale Police Department is looking for a teen who is lost and thought to be traveling with a 29-year-old man.

Destiny Jasmine Renee Bateman, 16, was last seen by a family member at her home in Avondale, near Buckeye and El Mirage roads, around 1 a.m. on November 3.

Bateman is thought to have left her home and been picked up by a 29-year-old man called Isaac Martin.

The mother of Bateman, Misty Milleman, said, “I woke up to a nightmare.” “I love you a lot. “Please go home.”

12News spoke with Milleman Martin was friendly with their family, but now she worries about the safety of her daughter.

The Bateman family said she left letters for each member of her family and her Bible with her.

Milleman said, “There was a stack of papers at the foot of the bed that said goodbye mom.”

Police say Bateman sent a text message to her family around 8:50 a.m. saying she was on her way to New Mexico and was very close to the line between Arizona and New Mexico.

Diego Chavez, Bateman’s dad, said, “We don’t know where they went from there.”

Martin is likely to be driving a 2016 silver Buick Encore. The license plate number for it is Arizona BEA0TX.

Pings from their phones and traffic cams show that they were last seen going north of the Four Corners area.

And Milleman begged, “Please bring her home.” “She’s my everything.”

He is 5 feet tall and weighs 110 pounds. Her hair is red and her eyes are brown.

Bateman wore a black hat that said “street life” on it, a black sweater that looked like a hoodie, and gray sleep pants with a teddy bear print when she was last seen.

Martin is a Hispanic man who is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 235 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Police said they have a good reason to arrest Martin for kidnapping.

Call the Avondale police at 623-333-7001 if you know anything about this case.
