A 30-year-old Guy Has Been Officially Charged With Shooting a Contractor in the Face

After being officially charged, a 30-year-old man has been linked to a shooting in Miami Township.

Montgomery County Common Pleas Court records show that Spencer Skalski, 30, was charged with two counts of felony assault on Tuesday.

Another News Center 7 story said the shooting happened at a house in the 9000 block of Ainsworth Court around 1:15 p.m. on Oct. 20.

Police Sergeant Paul Nienhaus told News Center 7 that the victim was a contractor working on the house when Skalski, who was later identified as the suspect, reportedly shot him in the face.

The victim got a cut on the face that is not life-threatening.

Nienhaus said that Skalski had never met the victim before and was just visiting the house when it was shot.

In an earlier News Center 7 report, it was said that Skalski left the scene of the shooting but was caught and arrested by an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper in Clinton County.

After that, he was taken to the Montgomery County Jail and booked in.

It is set for Oct. 31 for Skalski to go to court.
