A shooting involving an Ohio police officer happened Monday night and hurt one person.
The shooting happened at 6:20 p.m. near where Denison Ave. and 31st Street meet in Cleveland’s Brooklyn Center neighborhood, according to CBS station Cleveland-19 News.
Chief Dorothy “Annie” Todd said that three cops were involved. Only two of the police cops were from Cleveland.
“Our CGIC task force officers and our violent crime reduction team were in the area of West 31st and Dennison looking for a suspect in several violent crimes across the city,” said Chief Todd.
Chief Todd said that the suspects opened fire when the police saw them.
Chief Todd says that one of the suspects was hit by gunshots. Two suspects have been caught.
The shooting did not hurt any of the police officers.
“We’ve got two of them,” Chief Todd said. “The one suspect who was hit was taken to Metro Hospital, and as of right now, none of our officers were hurt in the shooting.”
At this point, it’s not clear if the cops are still looking for more suspects.
