SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The National Weather Service says that the Bay Area will have an active weather trend this week, with cold temperatures, rain, and strong winds.
Strong winds, with gusts up to 35 mph, will hit the coast and San Francisco Bay this evening from a coastal jet. The clouds will clear overnight, and it will get very cold, some of the coldest weather since May. It will be very cold in the morning on Tuesday, but the skies should clear up and the winds should start to die down. This will be the only day this week that is sure to be dry, which is great for last-minute trips to the pumpkin patch.
Showers are happening here and there right now, but as the surface warms up, it will likely rain more often. But lightning is still not likely because the clouds are lower. Residents are being told to bundle up and get ready for quickly changing conditions because the cold weather and rainy spells may last all week.
