FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Court records show that the claimed victim showed police video of the sexual abuse, and the woman from Fayetteville is now being accused of it.
On October 25, 39-year-old Mary Marelle was arrested on charges of second-degree sexual abuse and making terroristic threats.
Someone told a detective with the Goshen Police Department that Marelle had abused them in June, according to an affidavit of probable cause. The detective was reacting to a call on July 7.
On July 30, the person went to the police station. The victim gave a statement, as well as video and recordings of what happened, the report says.
Marelle is said to have hit, kicked, slapped, and thrown things at the victim in the video. This person says Marelle took off her clothes, made them grab her body, and threatened to kill them.
On October 26, Marelle was released from the Washington County Detention Center on a $7,500 bond. She has been told not to talk to the claimed victim again. On November 15, she is due in court.
