Police in Carroll said in a Facebook post that they arrested a teacher in Keller on Monday who they say sexually abused one of her former students.
The woman was named by police as Angela Barnes, 45, from Keller. She is a teacher at Carroll Middle School in Southlake.
The department’s post says that detectives got word in September that Barnes might be having an inappropriate relationship with a former student who is young and started looking into it right away.
Police say the probe found that Barnes had a sexual relationship with the former student from June to July of this year.
The police did not say what school the kid went to.
A Facebook post from the department says Barnes has been charged with sexual assault of a kid and having an inappropriate relationship between a student and an educator.
Officials say that detectives have no reason to think there are any more victims at this time.
