LAUREL CO., Kentucky On Wednesday afternoon, a routine traffic inspection in Laurel County led to a drug raid, which ultimately resulted in the arrest of an individual who was 81 years old: the guy.
A statement from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said that the arrest took place on Kentucky State Route 552, roughly seven miles south of London, at approximately 1:30 p.m. Laurel County Drug Interdiction Task Force officers were alerted to the presence of probable drugs in a white Ford F-150 by a K-9 of the task force while they were conducting the checkpoint. Following a search of the vehicle, a significant quantity of meth was discovered concealed beneath the hood.
William Harold Clontz, a resident of London, was recognised as the driver, and that individual was taken into jail. Additionally, the investigators found out that Clontz was driving with a suspended licence and that he was also in possession of an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court.
There are a number of allegations that have been brought against Clontz, including trafficking in a controlled substance (first-degree, first offence – methamphetamine) and various driving offences. At the Laurel County Correctional Centre, he was taken into custody and booked.
This is an investigation that is still underway.
