8-year-old boy dies after statue falls on him at historic Arizona resort, police say.Last week, a statue struck a little kid outside a posh resort in Phoenix, causing his death.
Phoenix firefighters responded to reports of a child hurt at the Arizona Biltmore property near 24th Street and Camelback Road at approximately 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
The 8-year-old youngster was taken to a hospital in a very serious state. He passed away the following day, on Thanksgiving, according to police.
A shattered statue that had fallen outside the resort was depicted in a scene photo. According to Phoenix Fire Capt. Todd Keller, the toddler was hit by a “concrete object.”
Phoenix police describe the incident as a “tragic accident” and state that there are no indications of foul play in an update released Monday afternoon. The child’s name will remain confidential.
