I am very much a breakfast person and eat it every day. It’s usually something quick and easy, but after seeing so many pretty breakfasts online, I was inspired to try something a little more exciting. I am not a huge fan of oatmeal, but my For You page was flooded with irresistible recipes. I had most of the ingredients for this at home, such as bananas, cocoa powder and the actual oatmeal, but I used whole milk instead of almond milk. The actual preparation took five minutes, but then you had to bake it… for another 25. This was the biggest flaw in the recipe since in the morning, I personally don’t have that much time to spend on making breakfast. Microwaving or preparing the recipe overnight could be an option, but if we were sticking to the instructions, the cooking time took too long. The actual oatmeal tasted really good and surprisingly like brownie batter. I thought the portion size was a bit too big for me, but it kept me full the entire day. Would I make this again? Maybe on the days that I have a lot of time in the morning, but not as a regular occurrence.
