After seeing people rave on and on about the Feta Pasta all over my TikTok For You page, I decided to give it a shot myself. This pasta recipe allegedly made stores sell out of feta cheese in Finland, although most Finns seem to be unaware of the shortage. The recipe is pretty straightforward and requires only a small number of ingredients, all of which I had lying around in my pantry. Other than putting the cheese and tomatoes in the oven and boiling the pasta, there is little “cooking” to be done in the dish, so even an amateur chef can easily follow the recipe. As for the taste, I was quite underwhelmed. Both the tomatoes and feta are quite acidic, and there was nothing in the recipe to balance that out. If I do decide to make this again, I would add cream or butter to try and balance out the flavors. Overall, it is a good and quick dish to make for dinner, but it doesn’t live up to the hype it has been receiving online.
