1. Salem Sue is the biggest Holstein cow in the world.
Salem Sue is the world’s biggest Holstein cow. She lives in New Salem and is 38 feet tall and 50 feet long. Built in 1974 to honor the dairy business in the area, this fiberglass sculpture is a fun place to take pictures.
2. The Highway of Magic
Along this 32-mile stretch between Gladstone and Regent, there are huge statues made from scrap metal. These include a tin family, flying geese, and grasshoppers. It’s one of the most interesting drives in North Dakota. It was made by artist Gary Greff.
3. Sandy is the biggest sandhill crane in the world.
