On Thursday, January 28th, the boys track team pulled an impressive 68-43 win against Natick in the Bay State Conference Interdivisional meet. The Warriors finished up the dual meet season with a final record of 5-1.

The first event was the mile, where sophomore Quinn Gangadharan placed first with a time of 4:35. Senior Evan Baker followed close behind with a second place time of 4:38.

The 300 meter dash was another great event for Brookline. Senior Noah Kortkamp grabbed first place and Senior Zach Leonard got second.

In the 55 meter dash, the Warriors swept Natick. Junior Sam Feingold-Gardener, Junior Andrew Chabon and Junior Justin Feng placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

Kortkamp competed well in the high jump, jumping 5-10 to tie with a Natick opponent for first place in the conference. Feingold-Gardener continued to earn points for the Warriors as he placed first place in the conference for the long jump with a distance of 20-11.

Senior Noah Lindeman ran an impressive time of 9:49 in the 2-mile, earning 1st place in the dual meet and 2nd overall in the Bay State Conference.

Natick outran Brookline in the 4×200 relay, but Brookline came back with a win in the 4×400 relay with a time of 3:39.

Junior Henry Peebles-Capin said he was proud of the team’s success this season.

“It was a great last dual meet,” Peebles-Capin said. “We saw some amazing performances and we really came together well.”
